“I will never forget the outstanding care I received and I am forever grateful to each and every one of the amazing staff who cared for me.” Tracey (pictured with her daughter) took on the 10km challenge.

About the event

The routes head out from Surrey Sports Park, where you'll walk along some beautiful trails in Guildford. You'll take in the views from the Hog's Back and North Downs Way, as well as striding through the stunning Loseley Estate and along a section of the River Wey, before heading back over the A3 to cross the finish line back at Surrey Sports Park.

The routes are well marked and there will be water and aid stations placed at approximately half way around each loop, providing hot and cold drinks, and snacks. There is a 5km, 10km or 15km loop, or combine both for the ultimate 25km challenge.

The 5km family-friendly route is wheelchair and buggy accessible, and perfect for little ones or those looking for a shorter challenge (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult on the day).

All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other, and we'll take care of the rest.

“It’s been the perfect day: great weather, great walk…I’ve enjoyed meeting people along the way. And there’s some food at the end, so that’s precious. I like the down bits more than the up bits, I have to admit!” - Phil completed the 25K route in memory of his Dad, Eddie.

Why take part?

Officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1997, St Luke’s treated around 2,500 patients in its first year. Today, Royal Surrey Cancer Centre typically conducts over 60,000 outpatient appointments a year and our wonderful staff continue to offer incredible care to every individual who comes through our doors.

We want to make sure the cancer centre is here for people living with cancer for years to come. There is so much more we can do to ensure you have access to exceptional care – but we need your help.

Every penny and pound you raise will make a huge difference to so many lives affected by cancer – funding lifesaving equipment and innovative treatments, supporting staff wellbeing so they can continue to give the very best care, and enhancing the centre to make it more comfortable and welcoming for all our patients.
